All want to pretend like this kind of Thing doesn't happen it's good to be Prepared when Calamity strikes and it Seems no matter what part of the country You're in we're all going to have our Own disasters hurricanes tornadoes Straight line winds Fires just the crazy storms that pop up In spring summer and fall and Fortunately for us tractor owners we Have the tools to make cleanup maybe not A breeze but sure take a lot of the Paint out of it and be able to help Other folks too I know one of our long Time viewers down in Texas just got hit With an ice storm ended up busting and Breaking branches and dropping trees all Over the place he's going to be using Some of these tools that he's already Purchased has them on hand to help not Only clean up his property but all the Neighbors too so let's go through all These tools maybe I'm forgetting Something maybe you know what you found Haniest right maybe you you have to deal With a lot of this stuff but there's a Lot of ways to utilize your tractor in Times of need that maybe you're not Thinking of all right so first thing up A PTO power generator something you can Tow behind pull along with you take it Out into the field if you need to do Some restoration work out there maybe Take it to the neighbor's house maybe to
Your house maybe the whole neighborhood Just to kind of keep the freezers cold And everything else is periodically While the power is out but if you need Something that's Not stationary right just not a not a Standby generator at your house you want Something more portable This could be a great solution to look Into bomb lights got a whole Power Calculator on their website as well so You can go through there Add up all the the kilowatts and Everything else that you need the the Demands that you need to have the right Generator size for you now one of the More common things that we're all going To need to do regardless of the disaster Or the the Calamity that has struck is Going to have to deal with downed trees And those are a big job small tractors Even can still handle them but you have To have the right equipment to go along With it so things like a grapple okay to Pick stuff up get it out of the way Stack it up Could be a set of pallet Forks sometimes Called the poor man's grapple you can Get by with those to do a lot of things Or maybe maybe you're you're bringing in Sandbags or moving sandbags around even Big pallets of those you can do that With a set of pallet forks and a pallet But of course you're going to need to
Get those trees into more manageable Sizes right so a chainsaw is always Going to be handy and essentially a Necessity to have there you can divide You can chunk up that tree right into The stuff that maybe you throw into a Chipper or a burn pile whatever you want To do but if you want to Just chip down all that brush if you Have all sorts of downed trees all over The place a shipper is going to make Quick work out of doing that then you're Going to be down to maybe firewood size Logs or something else where you can get A splitter split those up perhaps even a Processor if you're going to be doing Things on a really large scale just Another way to to utilize that processor On hand in case of emergency and then You may have a lot of Just small stuff right just small little Limbs that came falling down after a Storm or maybe after you get done Cutting up all the stuff out of all the Yards that you're working on you have Just little stuff that's stuck in The Lawns and stuck that you need to kind of Pile up and scrape together and there's A lot of tools you could use for that Potentially a thatcher rake potentially A landscape rake if you want to get a Little bit more high end on that you Could go with something like a bagger System from patero like what we sell
Maybe even the sweet ball which is kind Of that sweeper on steroids collects Essentially everything that you that you Can run over with it a really powerful System that's going to clean up things Very well sometimes you need to move Stuff from point A to point B and so That could be with the use of a trailer Whether you're hooking that up to your Tractor or your your ATV or whatever it Is to to move things around maybe it It's inaccessible for the tractor right You need to get a chain over there Somehow so you want to find a safe way To hook that to your tractor put on some Bucket brackets make that more versatile There or even consider a logging winch If you're going to have a long-term need For it and then of course you have the Stump that's left over right and so There's several tools that you can use To take care of that of course a grinder Could be really handy get that down Below grade if you have a backhoe well That's super cool too can take quite a While as well but there's also the front Hoe bucket right called the stump Wrecker that can make quick work out of Smaller stumps but if you have a two Foot diameter tree that might take you All day and so really going through this You can see Tree damage tree work is really where Well a lot of us can relate on our
