Shredding Trees with a Forestry Mulcher
Foreign Hey it's Brock here with Rock Hill Farms And in this video we're going to mulch Up a bunch of trees and brush with a John Deere 325g high flow and sphere Duty door now I've already put out a Full length version of this video that's Like 35 minutes or 38 minutes or Something like that and in that version We have the rep there from the Manufacturer of the mulchers and he goes Into all kinds of details about which Mulcher is right for which kind of skid Loader and It's kind of a long drawn out video this One is just the action just the mulching Now if you want the rest of that Information I'll put a link at the end Of this video to watch the full version Anyway I hope you enjoy it [Music] [Music] So we're actually going to run two Different skid loaders and three Different mulching heads in this video This is the deer 325g high flow which is 32 gallons per minute It's a 74 horsepower 9 500 pound machine And it's running the loftness battle ax L Series L series is for their lighter Duty which is the slightly smaller Machines It's hard to see on this section because Everything is wrapped in Vines but this
Is actually a pretty good sized tree I'm Cutting on right now and I take it all The way down to ground level Foreign Foreign As I move over to this section you'll See the one large tree in the middle It's really big diameter but the center Of this tree is Kind of hollowed out or rotten Anyway I carve on it a little bit with The 325 and then we completely pulverize It with the ASV [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Thank you [Music] So that was a pretty good sized tree That I cut off up high and now when you See me not really moving I'm just Grinding down the remaining trunk Basically a couple inches off the ground And and leave a low stump [Music] Foreign [Music] Now I'm demonstrating a different Mulching head instead of the battle ax This is a loftness Timber ax which is a Much older design And maybe more versatile and less
Expensive it can be used on Lower flow machines And it tolerates Rocky terrain better so An interesting option for mowing and Mulching [Music] Foreign [Music] Foreign [Music] [Music] Now you're seeing this ASV 120 horsepower forestry machine And whereas my machine is a general Purpose skid steer that can mulch This machine is built to mulch it's got The roll cage and the fall protection And 45 gallons per minute of hydraulic Flow And a hydraulic cooler and it can run The disc Mulcher or basically any kind Of Mulcher you want to put on it [Music] [Music] [Music] Foreign Foreign [Music] Foreign [Music] [Music] Foreign [Music] [Music]
